Calido I demonstrated his talent as a showjumper from an early age. He recorded 25 victories in young horse classes, including a Bundeschampionat qualifier. His greatest influence, however, has been in breeding. Coupe de Coeur became German champion twice, Nobless M competed at the Olympic Games, while Charley, KM Chalcedon and Eurocommerce Acapulco also performed at the highest international level. Calido I sired 115 licensed sons worldwide and more than one hundred offspring competing at 1.60m level. This son of Cantus out of a Coriander mare passed on scope, technique and rideability, and remains particularly influential as a damsire.
